A good day

I must admit that today was indeed a good day! I spent some time with my worn-out slip on fabric shoes, and I believe I saw a glimpse of what they looked like at the peak of their existence. I saw kindness, understanding, interest, humor, and love in this boy that I thought had left me for sure. Although what used to be between us is now gone, I was able to have the part of him that I truly loved: his friendship. This boy is still my best friend on the whole planet regardless of the fights we get in or who our significant other is. Even if it was only for today, and tomorrow I won't see the boy I once knew... I will still be grateful , for I will know that the boy I love IS in there somewhere. Also, I know that i'm going to do my best to be the friend that he needs, and help make the things everyone loves about him dominant. I pray that soon everyone will be able to see the amazing potential that I can see in this boy.
